About our salon
Established in 2001 by Avril Solarin, Nubian opened its doors to the first client in Chelmsford’s eclectic West End and is now firmly on the map as the leading independent Afro Black & Mixed race hair salon in the county.
Nubian prides itself on a warm, friendly environment and above all remaining professional at all times. We give first class advice on all aspects of Afro hair and styling and provide services at affordable prices.
A free consultation is offered to all our clients, enabling us to asses your needs. By working with you, we are able to determine your requirements, likes and dislikes and offer you the best advice on style, suitability and aftercare.
Team Nubian are all NVQ qualified and regularly attend professional courses and training. We strive to keep in line with the latest trends and as experts in all aspects of afro-Caribbean and European hair, which gives us an edge in helping you to choose your next look and style.
We have developed a varied client base from young children to their grandparents and every nationality conceivable, so we look forward to seeing you very soon and trust it will be a pleasurable experience.
